How much fabric do you need to create a single bear?
On average, it take one large or extra large shirt or one large or extra-large t-shirt or a large robe or a pair of long pants to create a single bear. You can incorporate several different shirts/pants to design a single bear. (see examples on home page)

How are the faces created?
As a general rule, I use the existing buttons off the clothing provided to make the eyes. If no buttons are available, I provide the buttons. If this is for a child (4 years of age or younger), I can create child-friendly eyes from pieces of felt. The nose is made from a pre-fabricated mold and is snapped into place. Again, if you prefer something more child-friendly, I can make the nose from felt pieces, as well. (Please specify in the notes section when ordering)

How much fabric do you need to create a single pillow?
On average, it takes one large or extra large shirt, or one large or extra-large t-shirt, or one large robe to create a single pillow. A pair of pants CANNOT be used
to create a pillow.

What type of filler is used to "stuff" the bears and/or pillows?
I use 100% polyester that is washable and hypoallergenic and is made in the U.S.A.

What types of fabrics work BEST to create a bear and/or a pillow?
Cotton, Cotton Blend, Polyester, Flannel, Denim, Corduroy, Light-Weight Wool, Sweatshirt, or Silk.

Can certain sweaters be used to create a bear or a pillow?
It is hard to answer this question WITHOUT seeing the sweater first...Certain sweater materials will unravel, when cut and therefore cannot be used. The tighter the knit, the better chance that it can be used. I suggest that you email me a picture and let's discuss it during the consultation!

How does shipping work?
Customers are responsible for shipping the fabrics/materials to my business address. The address will be provided once you place the order. I suggest using insured and tracking when sending your fabric/material, as these items are sentimental in value and irreplaceable! Customers are also responsible for shipping costs to ship the items back to them once the bear/pillow is completed.

Shipping costs are $15.00 for the FIRST item and $7.50 for EACH additional item.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
Once I receive your fabric/materials, I have a turn-around time of approximately 3 weeks. When possible, the time might be less. If you have a rush order, please let me know at time of order. I will do my very best to accommodate your request.

How do I choose the memorial patch?
Each item includes a memorial patch. During our consultation we will discuss what you would like to have appear on the memorial patch.
